The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, one of Odisha's accredited medical schools, was founded in 2007. IMS and SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar are some of its alternate names. In addition to undergraduate medical education, SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar also grants postgraduate degrees in non-clinical disciplines. The Institute of Medical Sciences & SUM Hospital is Siksha 'O' Anusandhan's medical school and hospital (IMS and SH). It consists of the Institute of Medical Sciences, the medical college, and the Siksha 'O' Anusandhan or SOA Hospital (IMS).
